Welcome Back Arugula
Plants and Produce for Sale at the Garden (2 to 5) Thursday & Friday, and HLFM (8 to 11) Wednesday & (8 to 12) Saturday
Hattie’s Garden is happy to welcome back arugula to our produce lineup. We will be harvesting our first beautiful and very flavorful batch this week.
Did you know that along with its distinct deliciousness, arugula has plenty of nutritional benefits and has been used for its medicinal properties throughout history? It is an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
You can find us on this week from 8 to 11 at the Wednesday Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) located by the Crooked Hammock Brewery on King’s Highway near Dartmouth Drive and Rt. 1.
We will also be open at Hattie’s Garden from 2 to 5 Tuesday through Friday, and at the HLFM on Saturday from 8 to 12, located on the grounds of the George H.P. Smith Park located at the corner of Dupont and Johnson Avenues.
If these times/dates do not work for you, please email Hattie to make other arrangements. We can accommodate most requests.
Produce & Herbs
Please look in the blue coolers for our triple-washed greens. Our salad mixes last a long time because of the care we take in harvesting and preparing them for you and then keeping them nice and cool.
- Arugula — Young arugula, triple-washed and bagged.
- Mesclun — Triple-washed and bagged.
- Loose Leaf Lettuce — Triple-washed and bagged.
- Swiss Chard — Absolutely gorgeous.
- Herbs — This week we will have fresh-cut beautiful, large bunches of the ‘Giant of Italy’ culinary Flat Italian Parsley and Mojito Mint, which is a wonderful all-round mint.
Flowers
We will also have nice bouquets of fresh cut flowers. Each of our bouquets will last you a full week and comes with a packet of flower food.
Plants for your Garden
There’s still time to plant your tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers.
We have an absolute abundance of plants that you will love.
While we do bring as many plants as possible to the HLFM, you will find a more comprehensive selection at the Garden from 2 to 5 on Thursday and Friday this week.
Yours in the Garden and at the Markets,
