Thank You
Thank you all for being such great customers. Without your support we couldn’t have done it. It is my hope you will always source locally grown food whenever you can. I know I will. Keep an eye on the Historic Lewes Farmers Market and other markets for information about where to source local food during the offseason. And of course check with Zach and Jenny Dittmar below.
What’s Next from Hattie
I will be offering gardening classes and gardening consulting in the new year, beginning the end of March or beginning of April. Although we will no longer farm our small market garden, I will continue to teach and offer assistance to local gardeners. For any of you who are currently engaged in vegetable gardening in your own spaces, or who would like to start, you may want to consider attending one of my Sustainable Gardening classes in the spring. The classes are small and hands-on and have been very popular in the past.
I will also be available for on-site consulting and guidance throughout the growing season beginning in 2025. Stay tuned for more details in the new year.
At this time of Thanksgiving celebration, our thoughts turn gratefully to you with warm appreciation. Our thank you to all and best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving.
Where to go during the winter months
We are recommending Dittmar Family Farms, run by Zach and Jenny Dittmar, as an option to be used during the off-season months for locally produced food. They utilize high tunnels to grow vegetables year-round. Zach and Jenny will be making weekly deliveries in the Lewes and Rehoboth area throughout the winter. Check out their website and sign up with your email address to receive news and updates.
