September 22, 24 & 26 Produce and Flowers
Stop by Hattie’s Garden Tuesday, September 22, Thursday, September 24, and Saturday, September 26 from 10 AM to 2 PM. As the late-summer season begins to wind down, Hattie still has a selection of fresh produce available this week.
This week we will be harvesting Seychelles Green Snap Beans. These beans offer a crisp, tender texture with a rich, delicate, and slightly sweet “beany” flavor characteristic of high-quality French filet beans. They are stringless, meaning there are no tough, fibrous strings to pull off before eating or cooking. Available in limited amounts, please come early.
This week’s harvest also includes sweet and cayenne peppers, young arugula, young lettuce mix, and young fresh ginger. We also have flower bouquets featuring Benary’s Giant zinnias and mixed colors of beautiful gomphrena.
