Saturday May 9 Orders
Welcome back to our Saturday Pickup/Delivery service. We hope you are doing well and staying safe.
We are now taking orders for Saturday May 9. We are grateful we can continue to bring you lots of fresh food during this difficult time. Things are kind of a moving target right now, and we appreciate your patience.
Hattie’s Garden is finally harvesting some salad greens. And for plenty of other greens, don’t forget Fresh Harvest Hydroponics and delicious microgreens from Totem Farm.
We do have continued access to fabulous mushrooms from King Mushrooms, great cheese from Chapel Country Creamery, flash frozen salmon, rockfish and cod from AlaskaWild, fresh eggs from Twin Post Farm, wonderful prepared foods from Nancy’s Cafe and the best jelly and jam in Delaware from Backyard Jams & Jellies.
Unfortunately, Chesapeake Organic will not be harvesting any produce this week, and we are no longer able to supply Wilder Bread through Greenman Juice Bar and Bistro. They will have weekly bakes for contact-less pick up on Saturday afternoons. For more information, please email them directly. Also, it does not look like the asparagus from Stag Run Farm will cooperate this week. The weather has been too cold.
For plants, please see our latest post detailing what is available, along with instructions on how things work with our plant pickups.
Delivery/Pickup Service Process
If you are picking up your order from Hattie’s Garden, please arrive any time between 9 AM and 2 PM on Saturday. If you must come at a different time, please make arrangements directly with Hattie via email.
We are located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes. Look for the 6 foot tall stockade fence in front of the house and the house has purple trim. The house is the fifth house on the left on Kendale from Beaver Dam Road.
Come into the driveway and pull all the way in to the garage. We ask that you remain in your vehicle when picking up your order and allow us to put your order on the back seat or in the trunk by opening those automatically for us so we can avoid touching your car handles, etc. If the driveway is full, pull out of the way by parking in the grass along the fence and someone will help you.
Deliveries will be left at your door, and you might expect things a bit later than normal as we have many more deliveries than normal.
We are asking for online credit card payment when you receive your invoice toward the end of the week. Though we are legally required to accept cash and checks, we’d much prefer not to handle paper. Thank you for your consideration.
Yours in the Garden,
