Stop by Hattie’s Garden on Tuesday, August 22 from 1 to 4 and Thursday, August 24 from 10 to 4 for the sale of produce, flowers, meat, eggs, cheese, and fish.
You can also find us at the Wednesday Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) from 8 to 11:30, located at the Crooked Hammock Brewery parking lot, and at the Saturday HLFM located at the George H.P. Smith Park on Saturday from 8 to 12.
In the event of inclement weather on Saturday, the HLFM will be located at the Lewes Elementary School parking lot at 820 Savannah Road.
What’s Available from Hattie
The following freshly harvested produce will be available at the Garden on Tuesday, August 22 from 1 to 4 and Thursday, August 24 from 10 to 4, and at HLFM Markets on Wednesday (8 to 11:30) and Saturday (8 to noon).
- Peppers — Carmen red Italian frying peppers, various sweet peppers, and a few hot Jalapenos.
- Shishito Peppers — These popular appetizer peppers are mostly a mild chili pepper, with an occasional hotter pepper. Toss in oil and sear in the skillet, then sprinkle with flaky salt.
- Cherry Tomatoes — Delicious mixed pints, which includes Black Cherry, SunGold, SunPeach and Sakura red.
- Fresh Inchelium Softneck Garlic — This garlic is a national taste-test winner in the softneck division. Long lasting mild flavor with just a hint of hot.
- Pole Beans — Mixed quarts of green, purple and yellow. Delicious and picked at an early stage, they are sweet and delicious.
- Young Arugula — Triple-washed and bagged.
- Basil — Beautiful freshly-harvested bunches.
- Fresh-Cut Flower Bouquets — This week we have bouquets with Dahlias, Zinnias, Celosia and Gomphrena. Each bouquet comes with flower food, and is guaranteed to last at least a week.

We carry the following meat, eggs, cheese, fish and other food products at the Garden on Tuesday, August 22 from 1 to 4 and Thursday, August 24 from 10 to 4.
- Chapel’s Country Creamery — Farmstead artisan cheese that taste as good as they look. The cows are not given any synthetic growth or production-enhancing hormones, just a lot of love and attention.
- Enoch Farms — Sustainably raised, naturally grown, heritage pork. New batch of freshly frozen sausages and bacon including bratwurst, sweet Italian, spicy Italian, English bangers. cheddar and jalapeno cheddar.
- AlaskaWild Seafoods — Flash frozen, wild-caught salmon, rockfish and cod.
- Freeman’s Corn — Mark and Tony Freeman have the best fresh corn in the area.
- Chrissy’s Bees — Dutch Clover and Wildflower Honey.
- Marble Head Farm — Pasture-raised beef.
- Twin Post Farm — Free-range chicken eggs from Princess Anne County.
- Backyard Jams & Jellies — Dozens of delicious of jams, jellies (including no-sugar options) and chutneys.
Directions to Hattie’s Garden
Hattie’s Garden is located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes approximately 3 miles from Plantation Road (also known as Rt. 1D), coming inland on either Robinsonville Rd. or Beaver Dam Rd (Rt. 23 South).
Kendale Rd. is a short road (0.6 miles) between Robinsonville and Beaver Dam Road.
The house is fifth on the left from Beaver Dam Rd, and has a large wooden fence in front of house with purple trim.
