Hattie’s Garden will be open next week, Tuesday (June 2), Wednesday (June 3) and Thursday (June 4) from 2PM to 5 PM for the sale of plants for your home gardens, and produce along with a few artisan food products. No appointment is necessary, but please read below for how the process works. Our Saturday Delivery/Pickup service will continue, and look for an email on Sunday to place your order.

How the Process Works

1. Come any time between 2PM and 5PM on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (June 2 through June 4).
2. Have a list or questions on the available plants or produce/other items listed in this email that you would like to purchase.
3. Pull into the gravel area at Hattie’s Garden facing the fence and please shut off your car.
4. Stay in your car. Someone will come to help you.
5. Please bring a check or cash, and be prepared to pay AFTER we pull your plants and produce. We will immediately create an invoice for you.

Freshly harvested produce from Hattie’s Garden this week:

• Arugula — Young arugula, triple-washed and bagged.
• Mesclun — Triple-Washed & bagged.
• Mixed lettuce — Cut at a young and tender stage of growth and includes a delightful variety of colors, shapes and textures. Triple-washed.
• Young Spinach (1/2 lb bags) — Freshly-harvested, triple-washed and bagged.
• Young Swiss Chard (3/4 lb bags) — Freshly-harvested, triple-washed and bagged.
• Various Head Lettuce — please ask.
• Young Carrots — Freshly-harvested.
• Young Beets — Young bunches with greens.
• Hakurei Turnips — Sweet, crunchy, and great raw in a salad, yet versatile enough to be added to soups and stir-fry.

Directions to Hattie’s Garden

Hattie’s Garden is located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes approximately 3 miles from Plantation Road (also known as Rt. 1D), coming inland on either Robinsonville Rd. or Beaver Dam Rd (Rt. 23 South).

Kendale Rd. is a short road (0.6 miles) between Robinsonville and Beaver Dam Road. The house is fifth on the left from Beaver Dam Rd, and has a large fence in front of it with purple trim.

When you arrive, allow us to come to your car window for your list. We will pull the plants for you at that time, answer any questions you may have, and give you an amount due. You may write us a check then, or mail a check later, or request to be invoiced.
