October 31 Pickup/Delivery Service
Hattie’s Garden delivery/pickup service continues to bring you fresh and wholesome food. We are now taking orders for the Saturday, October 31 service.
The deadline for placing your order is Tuesday at 8PM. We suggest you place your order as soon as possible to be sure you get what you want, as we do run out of some things.
What’s Available through the Online Order System
The following items are available now to order for pickup or delivery on Saturday, October 31.
Hattie’s Garden continues to pull nice fall carrots from the garden, joined by beautiful French Breakfast Radishes with nice tops. Did you know you can use radish tops? Sautee lightly with any stir fry, or use as pesto, mixed 50/50 with your favorite other green.
We have nice young hakurei turnips with beautiful greens. We are still digging ginger and also turmeric, and we have one or two more lemongrass plants waiting for us to dig and process for you.
We also have green beans, spinach, swiss chard and beets available, but only at the Garden this week. They are a bit too limited to add to our order form. Stop by during our hours Wednesday and Thursday from 10 to 2.
Nancy’s Café is back with her wonderful fall menu after a much needed week off. If you missed her, she is ready to feed you!
Backyard Jams & Jellies is also back — and much faster than we had anticipated. They have seven well-loved varieties available in larger 12 oz. jars. They continue to search for a supply of their usual 8 oz. jelly jars during these challenging times.
Stag Run Farms will continue to provide us with apples and the season is not over for harvesting apples. Here is this week’s updated list and look for more apple varieties each week: Stayman Winesap, Gibson Gold, Granny Smith, Fuji, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious (aka Yellow Delicious) and Red Rome.
Totem Farms has wonderful produce, herbs and microgreens, and Fresh Harvest has romaine, butterhead and mixed lettuce.
There’s also free-range chicken and chicken liver from Dittmar Family Farms, wonderful free-range chicken eggs from Twin Post, a great assortment of fresh mushrooms from King Mushrooms, Alaska Cod, Coho and Sockeye Salmonn from AlaskaWild Seafoods, fresh honey from Chrissy’s Bees, and fresh cheese from Chapel’s Country Creamery.
Watch for our email early Tuesday morning for what is available during the week for pickup on Wednesday (October 28) and Thursday (October 29) from 10 to 2. That list differs a bit from our order form list as things change here on a day to day basis.
Yours in the Garden,
