Hattie’s Garden delivery/pickup service continues to bring you fresh and wholesome food. We are now taking orders for the Saturday, October 24 service.
The deadline for placing your order is Tuesday at 8PM. We suggest you place your order as soon as possible to be sure you get what you want, as we do run out of some things.
What’s Available through the Online Order System
The following items are available now to order for pickup or delivery on Saturday, October 24.
Hattie’s Garden is introducing our young fall carrots this week, as well as our freshly harvested turmeric root! We have young mixed lettuce (triple-washed) and hakurei turnips with nice greens. In addition, we still have young ginger for you. We continue to harvest green beans, but they are scarce, so order early or stop by the garden during the week.
Nancy’s Café is taking the week off and will return for our service on Halloween. Any orders placed this week, will be processed for our October 31 delivery/pickup service.
Backyard Jams & Jellies is completely offline now and can find no jelly jars for their operation. They will return in a couple of weeks with a half dozen popular items sold only in pint jars (instead of their normal 1/2 pint jars). The manufacturer has now stopped shipping jars completely and will not begin shipping again until March.
Stag Run Farms will continue to provide us with apples and the season is not over for harvesting apples. Here is this week’s updated list and look for more apple varieties each week: JonaGold, Gibson Gold, Granny Smith, Fuji, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious (aka Yellow Delicious) and Red Rome.
Totem Farms has wonderful produce, such as French Breakfast Radishes, as well as herbs and microgreens, and Fresh Harvest has romaine, butterhead and mixed lettuce.
There’s also free-range chicken and chicken liver from Dittmar Family Farms, wonderful free-range chicken eggs from Twin Post, a great assortment of fresh mushrooms from King Mushrooms, Alaska Cod, Coho and Sockeye Salmonn from AlaskaWild Seafoods, fresh honey from Chrissy’s Bees, and fresh cheese from Chapel’s Country Creamery.
Watch for our email early Tuesday morning for what is available during the week for pickup on Wednesday (October 21) and Thursday (October 22) from 10 to 2. That list differs a bit from our order form list as things change here on a day to day basis.
Yours in the Garden,
