This week we are featuring Backyard Jams and Jellies who just added three new flavors to their no-sugar-added line-up. These are Persimmon Jam, Apple Butter, and Peach Raspberry Jam. All of these flavors are made with local fruit and no added sweeteners.
There is limited supply and if you would like to try it, put your order in this early!
We have plenty of winter produce to grace your tables from Hattie’s Garden (Hakurei turnips, young lettuce, Red Russian Kale, Mesclun), Chesapeake Organic (includes three types of kale, radishes, swiss chard, carrots, leeks, lettuce, greens, and more), Fresh Harvest Hydroponics (microgreens and wheat-grass) and Totem Farms (microgreens and produce).
In addition, we have plenty of pasture raised, free range chicken and eggs from Dittmar Family Farms, free-range chicken eggs from Twin Post, flash-frozen fish from AlaskaWild, delicious mushrooms from Davidson Exotic Mushrooms (yes, they are back!), cheese from Chapel’s, freshly prepared food from Patty’s Gourmet Food and Nancy’s Cafe. Jen will return the following week with her freshly made-to-order dessert and pot-pies.
Remember the deadline for ordering is Wednesday at noon. Unfortunately, we won’t normally be able to take late requests, as we must place vendor orders quickly.
You will receive an updated reminder on Tuesday, but please order early to be sure you get everything you would like. Supplies are sometimes limited.
