No Service for Saturday, May 2
We regret we are unable to do the delivery/pickup service for Saturday, May 2. We are at a time of the season when we must get crops planted. Nature won’t wait and we have a full week of garden work ahead of us to get all the babies started. If we don’t plant it, it won’t grow.
We plant every week, all season long in any case, but at this time of year our work begins to cascade. To have a successful year, we must turn our full attention to our primary focus — which is growing food and flowers for you.
We plan to resume our delivery/pickup service again for Saturday, May 9. We know many of you depend upon it and so do many of our vendors. Look for an email next Sunday, May 3.
Plants for your Garden
In the meantime, look for our “Plant” email tomorrow that will detail a list of available plants for pickup this week. You may reply with your plant order and we will setup a time for you to come to the farm during the week and get your plants.
What’s going on with the asparagus?
We have been so disappointed not to have the promised asparagus the last two weeks. We never expected the sustained cold nights and once there was a bit of asparagus coming up, it was hit with a freeze one night last week and ruined the spears. They should be along soon and we are very hopeful we will have an abundance of asparagus for you when we resume our service May 9.
Yours in the garden
