Since I’m only open one afternoon a week, I’m offering a self-serve option for folks who need a little more flexibility. If you’d like to use the self-serve system, please email me ahead of time to reserve your plants or produce.

Produce and Herbs Available May 8

On May 8 we will have the following produce and herbs available. We will have more of your favorites to come as the garden grows. Keep an eye on the weekly emails for updates on what’s ready each week.

• Chives and Tarragon
• Lettuce mix
• Arugula

Healthy Plants for Your Garden

We’ll have a limited number of plants available for sale throughout the month. Tomato plants will be the first to arrive — they’ll be ready this Thursday, May 8, from 2 to 4 p.m., or by appointment. More plants will come along as the month moves forward. If you’d like to reserve specific plants, just email me with your list, and I’ll let you know when they’re ready for you. Of course, if you’d rather browse in person, we’ll be open every Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m., starting May 8 and continuing through the season.

• Plum/Paste Tomato (early May): San Marzano
• Cherry Tomatoes (early May): Super Sweet 100, Black Cherry, SunGold, Jasper
• Peppers (mid-May): Carmen Italian, Revolution Bell, Jalafuego Jalapeño, Ancho
• Eggplants (mid-May): Galine Italian, Asian Charm
• Basil (early May): Devotion (Downy Mildew Resistant Genovese Type)
• Flowers (mid to late May): Benary Giant Zinnias, Cut ‘n Come Again Zinnias, Zahara Bedding Zinnias, Tall Blue Ageratum, Double Click Cosmos

Remember: numbers are limited and there is only one planting of each item, so reserve early if you know what you need!

Directions to Hattie’s Garden

Hattie’s Garden is located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes approximately 3 miles from Plantation Road (also known as Rt. 1D), coming inland on either Robinsonville Rd. or Beaver Dam Rd (Rt. 23 South).

Kendale Rd. is a short road (0.6 miles) between Robinsonville and Beaver Dam Road. The house is fifth on the left from Beaver Dam Rd, and has a large wooden fence in front of house with purple trim.

Park in the graveled area facing the fence. If you don’t see me, you may toot your horn. I could be processing things in the garage or working outside in the garden.
