May 23 Pickup/Delivery Service
We are now taking orders for the Saturday May 23 Pickup/Delivery Service. And yes, it will be Memorial Day Weekend. Please stay safe everyone.
This week, Hattie’s Garden will be harvesting a limited amount of arugula, flat parsley and plenty of mesclun and loose leaf lettuce. We will continue to provide greens from both Fresh Harvest and Totem Farms.
In addition we have free-range chicken eggs from Twin Post, a great assortment of fresh mushrooms from King Mushrooms, more than 50 types of homemade jams & jellies from Backyard Jams and Jellies, Salmon, Alaska Cod and Rockfish from AlaskaWild Seafoods, Chrissy’s Bees honey, gourmet selections from Nancy’s Cafe and fresh cheese from Chapel’s Country Creamery.
We expect the order form to be available for at least a couple hours, but likely not beyond Sunday evening. Place your order quickly to be sure to get in an order. We continue to shutdown when we reach our capacity of orders we can handle.
Thanks for supporting Hattie’s Garden and all your local vendors. We feel a true sense of community with our customers and we hope you do too.
About Our Farmers Markets
Hattie’s Garden will continue to offer our delivery/pickup service for the next several weeks, although the local farmers markets are beginning to open!
We hope you enjoy the opening of the Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market on Tuesday afternoon, May 19 and Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) on Saturday, May 30. Restrictions for safety are in place, and Hattie’s Garden will likely join the HLFM later in the season.
But because of our greenhouse full of plants for your house gardens, we feel attending our HLFM farmers market with current restrictions would be difficult for our large spring plant sales. We want you to have time to speak with us about the plants and to have full choice of what we are carrying, so we have opted out of the market for the time being. You may sign up for a 15 minute time-slot with Hattie for Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of this week to get plants. Please see this post which details what we have available this week and how to make arrangements to purchase them.
Since we are not attending the market, we will continue to bring you wonderful food products from our vendors. We hope the continuation of our service is important to some of you who are still staying in, or find it more convenient to pickup or have your things delivered.
Yours in the Garden,
