What We Are Planting
Yes, you have probably noticed it is a bit cold to do much planting outside! We will need warmer weather and warmer soil for outside growth to begin. But in the meantime, we continue to build up our trays of new plantings in the hoophouse. This week we seeded plenty of new microgreens for you. In addition, we planted lots of things in pots to be planted outside later, both for our gardening customers and our own garden. We have started arugula, lettuce, swiss chard, parsley, dill, cilantro, snap peas, and snap dragons.
We have started our first round of pepper plants and eggplants and will begin our first round of tomato plants next week. Also for next week will will start many of our warm weather flowers including cutting zinnias, marigolds, nasturtiums, gomphrena, cosmos and bedding zinnias. We can’t wait for the weather to settle down a bit!
