July 25 Pickup/Delivery Service
Hattie’s Garden delivery/pickup service continues to bring you fresh and wholesome food. We are now taking orders for the Saturday July 25 Service.
The deadline for placing your order is Tuesday at 8PM. We suggest you place your order as soon as possible to be sure you get what you want, as we do run out of some things.
New Hours at the Garden
We are changing our regular hours for shopping at the Garden. We want to avoid the heat of the afternoon for the next several weeks. We will be open just two days during the week, Wednesday (July 22) and Thursday (July 23) from 10 to 1. We will also open for general shopping during our order pickup time-frame on Saturday from 9 to 2 on July 25.
What’s Available through the Online Order System
The following items are available now to order through our online system for pickup or delivery on Saturday, July 25.
This week Hattie’s Garden continues to cut beautiful lisianthus. For those that may not know, the lisianthus is a beautiful flower, similar to a rose without the thorns. And so elegant — you’d never guess it’s native to American prairies. This beauty will last for two to three weeks in your vase, where multiple blossoms will continue to open.
We are also offering in limited quantities, freshly harvested young loose leaf lettuce and young mesclun.
We continue to have plenty of heirloom purple-strip hard-neck garlic, stems and stems of beautiful basil, and nice scallions.
To help us cool off during this heatwave, Nancy’s Cafe is introducing Cold Cucumber soup, Cold Vichyssoise and refreshing Gazpacho to compliment the rest of her delicious fresh-to-order gourmet food.
And Dittmar Family Farms is back with whole and half chicken and chicken liver this week.
We bring to you from Totem Farms, green and savoy cabbage, three types of onions and three types of squash as well as their microgreens. Remember to partake of the hydroponic salad ingredients from Fresh Harvest, especially as the weather heats up and lettuce from the field becomes scarce.
We also have free-range chicken eggs from Twin Post, a great assortment of fresh mushrooms from King Mushrooms, more than 50 types of homemade jams & jellies from Backyard Jams and Jellies, Alaska Cod, Alaska Rockfish, Coho and Sockeye Salmonn from AlaskaWild Seafoods, fresh honey from Chrissy’s Bees, and fresh cheese from Chapel’s Country Creamery.
Watch for our email on Tuesday morning for what is available for during the week for pickup on Wednesday (July 22) and Thursday (July 23) from 10 to 1. That list differs a bit from our order form list as things change here on a day to day basis.
Yours in the Garden,
