January 1 Pickup/Delivery Service
Hattie’s Garden delivery/pickup service is back and continues to bring you fresh and wholesome food in the new year. We are now taking orders for the Saturday, January 1 Pickup/Delivery Service.
We are also open at the Garden, located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes, on Saturday from 9 to 2 for casual shopping. While we keep most items in our inventory, some items may run out and it is best to purchase through the online order system if you want to be sure to get everything you want.
The deadline for placing your January 1 order is Tuesday at 8PM. Otherwise, please stop by the Garden on Saturday during our open hours.
What’s Available through the Online Order System
We are happy to be back for New Year’s Day (January 1) pickup/delivery service.
Hattie’s Garden will harvest young lettuce mix, young mesclun, young dwarf Siberian kale, Hakurei turnips and loose radishes and turnips. We have plenty of fresh cilantro and we also have a nice selection of high quality microgreens for you.
Flying Squirrel Garden is back to baking pies for us this week! Their pot pies and dessert pies are delicious. Limit is two pies per customer.
Stag Run Farm bring us wonderful apples that include Pink Lady (crisp, sweet flavor), Winesap (tart, tangy, firm heirloom), Granny Smith (wonderful for cooking or tart eating), Golden Delicious (sweet and tangy, great for eating), Fuji (sweet and juicy flavor, with a subtle refreshing tart undertone), and Rome (a great cooking apple).
Enoch Farms offers sustainably raised, naturally grown, heritage pork products that include spare ribs, marrow bones, pork loin, chorizo, and a variety of sausages.
Chapel’s Country Creamery has sweet Italian sausage, regular Bratwurst, loose sausage, bacon, pork chops, and ham steaks. Their grass-fed, dry-aged beef includes several cuts: rib steaks, porterhouse steaks, T-bone steaks, top round roasts, stew meat, 85-90% lean ground beef and beef liver. And their onsite creamery produces fresh and aged cheese from their pastured, grass-fed dairy cows.
AlaskaWild Seafoods family-run business has Alaska Cod, Pacific Rockfish, Smoked and Sockeye Salmon fresh frozen directly from the boat and flown to the east coast every week.
302 Aquaponics has plenty of aquaponically grown salad ingredients, and beautiful tilapia fish they raise as part of their aquaponics system. There are no chemicals or pesticides in their farming.
Twin Posts offers wonderful free-range chicken eggs.
Dittmar Family Farms raises excellent free-range chickens, offering small whole birds.
From Davidson’s Exotic Mushrooms, we have their Grey Oyster, Portabella, Shiitake, Cremini, and Maiitake mushrooms.
And we are happy to offer Backyard Jams & Jellies for you. Check out the multitude of delicious options. This week they have added two mustards — Sweet Fire Dipping and Country Apricot.
Directions to Hattie’s Garden
Hattie’s Garden is located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes approximately 3 miles from Plantation Road (also known as Rt. 1D), coming inland on either Robinsonville Rd. or Beaver Dam Rd (Rt. 23 South).
Kendale Rd. is a short road (0.6 miles) between Robinsonville and Beaver Dam Road. The house is fifth on the left from Beaver Dam Rd, and has a large wooden fence in front of house with purple trim.
Park in the graveled area facing the fence. If you don’t see us, you may toot your horn. We could be processing things in the garage or working outside in the garden.
Reminder that you do not need an appointment. Simply show up during our open hours of operation. We prefer cash or checks, and do have the capability to take credit cards if necessary.
