We are happy to bring you some wonderful staples for your food pantry for your holiday CSA share on December 21.

Remember we will be taking Christmas week off from harvesting and the next CSA Share will be ready for January 4th.

Even though the colder than average weather has had an impact on the potential harvest for this week, we have found some wonderful things for your share this week from Greenbranch Organic Farm and Deep Grass Nursery (certified organic).

Hattie’s Garden is still nurturing carrots and spinach and will continue to bring you great produce which will be ready in January along with more nice lettuce, kale, arugula, scallions and turnips, etc. 

Pictured below is Hattie’s loose-leaf lettuce, spinach and turnips growing in the hoop house which will be ready for harvest for the next CSA on January 4.

Full Shares

• Organic Yukon Gold Potatoes
• Organic Onions
• Lettuce or Mesclun
• Kale or Brussel Sprouts
• Hakurei Turnips or other root vegetable
• A couple of surprises

Medium Shares

• Organic Yukon Gold Potatoes
• Organic Onions
• Lettuce or Mesclun
• Kale or Brussel Sprouts
• Hakurei Turnips

We will not be able to offer swap items this week, although if there is an item you would like more of, you may drop one item and double another item. Please contact us a soon as possible to let us know if you want to exercise this option. Potatoes will be enough for a meal for four people in the medium share and a bit more in the large shares.

Additional Information

Delivery: For those of you who are signed up for delivery, you will receive your order on Saturday morning, December 21.

Pickup: The preferred day for pickup is on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the shares will be clearly marked for each customer. Pickup on Sunday or Monday is fine, but please contact us in advance to let us know when you would like to come, so we can make sure you have access to the garage.

Five-Share Option: If you have purchased the 5-share option and would like one of your shares this week, please contact us as soon as possible, but no later than Thursday, December 19 at 6 p.m.
