Hattie’s Garden News
Hattie’s Garden thanks all of you who were able to attend the Wednesday Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) at Crooked Hammock this summer. That market is now finished for the season, but we wanted you to know that Hattie’s Garden located at 31341 Kendale Road plans to remain open from 2 to 5 on Thursday and Friday for the fall months.
We are open today and tomorrow and will attend the HLFM located at George H.P. Smith Park every Saturday through Saturday, November 19. Current hours for the HLFM are 8 to 12.
We still have beautiful cherry tomatoes and the arugula only gets better at this time of the year. This week’s cutting of arugula is young and delicious and remember, it is triple-washed and ready for use. Try blue cheese, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and halve your cherry tomatoes to create a marinade with the salad dressing. Pour over fresh arugula for a salad that is second to none.
The ginger will be growing for the remainder of September and we will let you know when we can harvest more for you.
Remember we also carry produce from Deep Grass Organic, including nice sweet onions, garlic and potatoes.
Yours in the Garden and at the Market,
