Happy Easter
Happy Easter! Happy Passover! Happy Sunny Days!
We begin another week of sheltering-in-place and social-distancing. We know that maintaining some of our daily routines help keep us balanced.
And for those activities we can’t do right now, we strive to develop new routines, which soon end up feeling familiar, and give us a new sense of self-continuity. These days that includes washing our hands much more than we think we need to wash our hands.
Our order form is now open for the April 18 Pickup/Delivery service. Please place your order immediately if you would like to receive something for this Saturday.
Last Sunday we were inundated with many orders, and unfortunately, had to close out our system after 1.5 hours. We thank you for your continued support during this difficult time, and are serving as many customers as we can, but there is a maximum number of orders we can reasonably process.
We apologize for not being able to accommodate everyone, but we are a small operation. If you are an old-time customer, please be patient with us as we gear up for the season. We hope to bring you plenty of great produce very soon.
There will be no produce from Chesapeake Organic this week as they work on their plantings. They will be back with a very limited supply of produce next week. However, Stag Run Farms (home of Chrissy’s Bees) will be harvesting some beautiful asparagus this week, and there are some nice selections of produce available through Fresh Harvest and Totem Farms. Of course, everything else is still on the menu.
Plants Plants Plants
We will have a few early cool weather vegetable and herb plant plugs (also known as starts) ready this week and will open for a couple of time-slots to allow you to pickup items.
Look for an email on Monday with pertinent information on how the plant pickup process is going to work in a way that keeps all of us safe. The email will list those plants that are ready for you. More will become available each week this month until we are in full swing in May.
Yours in the Garden,
