Off-Season Delivery/Pickup Service

It has been our pleasure to bring you fresh and wholesome food throughout the off-season. We will continue to be open at the Garden, located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes for casual shopping during the week.

Notification of the updated order form is sent out through our subscriber email mail list. Hattie’s Garden Off-Season Delivery/Pickup Service aims to help create a viable foodshed on Delmarva by providing you with locally grown and produced food. We do everything we can to advance local small sustainable farms and food artisans and to promote the consumption of good whole food grown locally.

Order OnlineIn addition to what we grow, we offer a variety of products from other vendors, most of whom are also participants at the HLFM and the Rehoboth Farmers Market. We will deliver Saturday mornings depending upon our supply of local produce and other goods.

How it Works

Every Sunday we will send out an email (which will also be posted in our news section) detailing the items available for the coming Saturday’s order. The deadline to complete this order is 8PM on Tuesday. Orders are filled as they are submitted and some items sell out quickly. The order form will be updated as items sell out for the week. The order form will be removed on Tuesday after the deadline. The following Sunday, a new order form will be available to begin the weekly cycle again.

What You Need to Do

Please place your order as promptly as possible in the week; do not wait until the last minute. You will want to order well ahead of the deadline of Tuesday 8PM deadline. Orders are filled as they are received and no order can be accepted after 8PM on Tuesday as we begin the process of placing vendor orders immediately.

Order Online - Tuesday 8 PMFor the first order of the season, please let us know the best place to leave your order if it is not your front doorstep. There is a section for special instructions for this purpose and for any other notes, questions or instructions you may have.

You will receive a confirmation email shortly after you submit your order. If you have not received within one hour after you place your order, please check your SPAM folder first, and if it is not there, please email us.

If you have changes or additions, email us before the Tuesday 8PM deadline. You can also submit another order. Just indicate in the comment box that this is an additional order for the week.

We will send an update on Tuesday morning, indicating any changes to our inventory for that week.

You will receive an invoice with any updates on Friday.

Delivery or Pickup

Order NowIf you live in Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, or Milton, we can deliver your order to your home on Saturday mornings for $8. Deliveries are made before noon. Hattie can give you an idea of time-frame for your location if needed.

To pickup your order, come to the Garden, located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes, anytime on Saturday from 9 to 2, or email Hattie to arrange a separate time. Someone will be there to help you. We will also be open during that timeframe on Saturdays for casual shopping. While we keep most items in our inventory, some items may run out and it is best to purchase through the online order system if you want to be sure to get everything you want.

Payment

We ask that you are as prompt as possible in remitting payment so that we can pay our vendors. For delivery service, you may remit a check by USPS, or leave your payment in an envelope in a conspicuous location. There is also a credit card option on your invoice. For pickup service, you may write a check, pay with cash, or use a credit card. Because of our costs in processing credit card and debit card payments, we prefer cash or check.
