Gaia Coffee Co. is one of our newest vendors bringing us specialty Costa Rican coffee. Their exceptional coffee is craft-roasted in small batches to guarantee a beautiful, consistent roast every time. We are carrying four of their blends that you can purchase whole bean or ground.
- Slower Lower Blend — Blend of Colombian, Brazil and Costa Rican beans. This is medium-dark roast with notes of toffee, semi-sweet chocolate with a full bodied finish. Perfect for any occasion.
- Aquiares CentroAmericano — Full-bodied, medium roast exotic coffee with hints of cacao, oranges & almonds. This coffee is from Diego Robelo at Aquiares Estate, a third-generation coffee farmer with a love for growing specialty coffee and treating the environment right while doing so.
- Colombia Palmera Decaf — This coffee is a blend of multiple regions in Colombia. Has hints of cinnamon, caramel and citrus notes.
- Nasa Blend — A classic, consistent, and smooth coffee. Has hints of molasses & chocolate notes.
The best way to store your beans are in the provided coffee bag within an air-tight container for maximum freshness. Keep your roasted coffee in a cool, dark location for further protection.
This week Hattie’s Garden is harvesting red mini Romaine lettuce heads for you. We also have young and tender baby bok choy, beautiful hakurei turnips, young lettuce mix that is all triple-washed, red potatoes and a nice selection of microgreens.
Other great salad ingredients are available from 302 Aquaponics.
Another new vendor for us is Mahon River Farm. We are offering their locally raised, locally fed and locally processed pasture-raised whole chickens.
Dittmar Family Farms raises Belted Galloway, a traditional hardy breed of Scottish cattle that is eminently suited to be grass-fed and produces a tender, juicy, flavorful beef. Often called “Belties,” this exquisite artisan beef is unlike any conventionally raised beef you will find in the supermarket. Known for a much leaner, yet nicely marbled meat, the Belted Galloway averages 46% lower in calories, 70% lower in fat and saturated fat, 57% lower in cholesterol and 19% higher in protein than comparable beef breeds, including Angus. This heritage beef breed dates back over 1,000 years. We are carrying a nice selection of their steaks, roasts and other beef cuts.
Enoch Farms has sustainably raised, naturally grown, heritage pork. They provide us with a nice assortment of products, including plenty of specialty sausages. Their smoked bacon, bratwurst and pork chops are delicious.
AlaskaWild provides us with some of the best wild fish available, directly from a family business based in Clam Gulch, Alaska. We carry whatever is in season and at present have salmon in the following varieties: Coho, Sockeye, Smoked Black-pepper, Smoked Cajun and of course, traditional. We also have Alaska Cod and Alaska Rockfish. This fish is flash-frozen and gets rave reviews from our customers.
From Twin Posts, we have wonderful free-range chicken eggs.
Chapel’s Country Creamery brings us incredible homemade artisan cheese, handcrafted using milk that comes directly from their pastured, grass-fed dairy cows. We carry their Chapel Cheddar, Amber Cheddar, Bay Blue, Brie, Woodbine, Smooth Sails, Queso Fresco and Paneer.
Davidson’s Mushrooms are essential in many kitchens and winter is no exception to get your cremini, portabella, shiitake, grey oyster, Maiitake, king oyster (AKA king trumpet), and Lion’s Mane (Pom pom) mushrooms.
Stag Run Farm grows multiple varieties of apples that we love. This week we have added Snapp Stayman apples to the line-up. Its tart, juicy taste and crisp crunch make “Snapp” the perfect name for this apple. The other apples varieties we carry are Aztec Fuji, Cameo, Gold Rush, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Stayman, and Winesap. All our apples are available in quart size (approximately 2 lbs.).
We also have available from Stag Run Farm’s Chrissy’s Bees wildflower raw honey and Dutch clover raw honey. By popular request, we are now carrying raw honeycomb.
Backyard Jams & Jellies has dozens of delicious of jams, jellies (including no-sugar options), mustards and chutneys.
