Hattie’s Garden delivery/pickup service continues to bring you fresh and wholesome food. We are now taking orders for the Saturday, August 22 Service.

The deadline for placing your order is Tuesday at 8PM. We suggest you place your order as soon as possible to be sure you get what you want, as we do run out of some things.

What’s Available through the Online Order System

The following items are available now to order for pickup or delivery on Saturday, August 22.

Hattie’s Garden continues to bring you beautiful pints of cherry tomatoes. We have an abundance of gorgeous basil, and are offering a one pound size of loose basil at a discount for those of you who would like to put up some pesto this year. Don’t forget to order some of our heirloom hard neck purple-striped garlic for your pesto and other needs.

We will begin to dig the first of our sweet, young ginger this week. This is not the time yet to buy for freezing for the winter as we let most of it get larger, but we have enough to give you a taste! We will sell in quantities of 1/4 lb. for now.

Dittmar Family Farms has just begun digging their potato crop. We will have their creamy, white fleshed Kennebec and flavorful Red Pontiac, also with white flesh. There is nothing like freshly dug potatoes. Both these varieties are perfect for cooking without removing the thin skin if you wish, retaining many of the vitamins and minerals. In addition, we have their whole chickens and chicken liver available.

Totem Farms has plenty of microgreens & peppers. Fresh Harvest has nice hydroponic salad ingredients. There’s also delicious free-range chicken eggs from Twin Post, fresh-to-order gourmet food from Nancy’s Cafe, a great assortment of fresh mushrooms from King Mushrooms, more than 50 types of homemade jams & jellies from Backyard Jams and Jellies, Alaska Cod, Alaska Rockfish, Coho and Sockeye Salmonn from AlaskaWild Seafoods, fresh honey from Chrissy’s Bees, and fresh cheese from Chapel’s Country Creamery.

Watch for our email late Monday afternoon for what is available during the week for pickup on Wednesday (August 19) and Thursday (August 20) from 10 to 1. That list differs a bit from our order form list as things change here on a day to day basis.
