April 4 Orders
We are now taking orders for the April 4 Pickup/Delivery service.
As we enter April, we continue to bring you lots of fresh food during this difficult time. Thanks to all of you for ordering from Hattie’s Garden and supporting not only us, but our many vendors who rely on your business even more than ever.
We are thrilled to announce we have a new vendor for mushrooms! Located in Barclay Maryland, King Mushrooms grows numerous varieties of mushrooms in a controlled environment without the use of chemicals and pesticides.
New Ordering Deadline
The new deadline for ordering will be 9 p.m. on Monday evening. However if we reach the maximum number of orders we can accommodate before then, we may shut down prior to this time. We advise you to be sure to order early.
Produce items from Chesapeake Organic are very limited. You may occasionally order an item that is already sold out, although we mark items as Sold Out as quickly as we can. We will let you know if that happens and you may substitute if you would like.
Delivery/Pickup Service Process
To reiterate the new protocols. We strongly suggest you pay via credit card. We are passing that charge along to you and if you would like that charge refunded, simply use the bank routing method on the invoice and let us know. Legally we cannot require credit card payment and must accept cash or check. We prefer not to, but will be sensitive to those who must pay in a different way.
For those of you picking up, please wait in your car to be helped and allow us to put your groceries on the back seat or in the trunk by opening those automatically for us so we can avoid touching your car handles, etc. For those of you choosing to have your groceries delivered, be patient, we have a long list of deliveries, but we will arrive.
Hang in there and enjoy nature. I was in the high tunnel yesterday morning in the rain and it was lovely. I spoke to my plants and let them know they were doing a great job. They looked so happy. I am always surprised how much joy there is in the mundane when I take the time to look. Spring is coming and we can’t wait to get into the garden and start growing for you.
Your loyal gardener,
