April 29 Pickup/Delivery Service
The final pickup/delivery service is this Saturday, April 29. Because of the mandatory “dry-run” at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) this Saturday, there will be NO DELIVERY except for City of Lewes addresses. We will be unable to deliver to greater Lewes or to Rehoboth Beach addresses. You may pickup your order at the Garden
You may stop at the Garden, located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes, on Saturday from 9 to 2 for casual shopping. While we keep most items in our inventory, some items may run out, and it is best to purchase through the online order system if you want to be sure to get everything you want. The deadline for placing your order is Tuesday at 8PM.
Beginning Saturday May 6, you can find us at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) located at the George H.P. Smith Park from 8 to 12.
Hattie’s Plants and Seasonal Hours
Our plants are ready much earlier than usual with an unusually warm spring. Stop by at any of our operating hours above for access to the best plants around, as well as fresh produce, and all the other products we carry. We will have most of our flowers available, including marigolds, bedding zinnias, cutting zinnias, cosmos, snapdragons, lisianthus and dianthus. Most of our herbs are also ready for you. Warm weather vegetables are ready including three varieties of squash, three varieties of cucumbers, many varieties of hot and sweet peppers, Asian and Italian eggplant, and of course, tomato plants. We will also have seasonal hours as noted below for our plants, and all the wonderful food products we will continue to carry. For the remainder of April and the first week of May, our hours at the Garden are as follows:

What’s Available through the Online Order System
The following items are available now to order for pickup or delivery (city of Lewes only) on Saturday, April 29 from 9 to 2.
Hattie’s Garden is harvesting great vegetables earlier than we ever have. This week we will have radishes, Hakurei turnips, baby Swiss chard, young lettuce mix, young arugula, young mesclun, Italian Parsley, fresh cut dill and cilantro.
302 Aquaponics has great salad ingredients and fresh-cut aquaponically grown herbs. You can choose from three types of romaine or a lovely butterhead. We love the Romaine Combo which is a mixed container of each variety of Romaine lettuce. The also have premium, farm-raised tilapia.
AlaskaWild Seafood’s family-run business, has Coho Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Cajun or black pepper smoked salmon, Alaska Cod and Alaska Rockfish flash-frozen directly the pristine waters along the Kenai Peninsula coastline and flown to the east coast every week.
Woodbine Farms, an offshoot of Chapel’s Country Creamery, has a nice lineup of free-range beef products.
Enoch Farms has sustainably raised, naturally grown, heritage pork. They provide us with a nice assortment of products, including plenty of specialty sausages. For a nice treat, try their smoked bacon and pork chops. Their Bratwurst is simply delicious.
Chapel’s Country Creamery brings us incredible homemade artisan cheese, handcrafted using milk that comes directly from their pastured, grass-fed dairy cows. We carry their Chapel Cheddar, Otterly Pale Cheddar, Amber Cheddar, Bay Blue, Brie, Woodbine, Queso Fresco and Paneer.
Chrissy’s Bees butterbean honey, wildflower raw honey and Dutch clover raw honey is made by the bees living on Stag Run Farm. The honey is lightly filtered and never processed (i.e. heated) so that it may retain its wholesome properties as the bees produced it.
Backyard Jams & Jellies has dozens of delicious of jams, jellies (including no-sugar options), mustards and chutneys.
Davidson’s Mushrooms are essential in many kitchens and winter is no exception to get your cremini, portabella, shiitake, grey oyster, maiitake, and Lion’s Mane (Pom pom) mushrooms.
From Twin Posts, we have wonderful free-range chicken eggs.
Directions to Hattie’s Garden
Hattie’s Garden is located at 31341 Kendale Rd in Lewes approximately 3 miles from Plantation Road (also known as Rt. 1D), coming inland on either Robinsonville Rd. or Beaver Dam Rd (Rt. 23 South).
Kendale Rd. is a short road (0.6 miles) between Robinsonville and Beaver Dam Road. The house is fifth on the left from Beaver Dam Rd, and has a large wooden fence in front of house with purple trim.
Park in the graveled area facing the fence. If you don’t see us, you may toot your horn. We could be processing things in the garage or working outside in the garden.
Reminder that you do not need an appointment. Simply show up during our open hours of operation. We prefer cash or checks, but do have the capability to take credit cards if necessary.
