April 11 Orders
We are now taking orders for the April 11 Pickup/Delivery service.
We would like to thank you for your continued support during this very trying time. We are currently serving as many customers as we can. We appreciate your patience as we sometimes run out of items and reach our quota of orders before you have had a chance to order.
Please place your order as soon as possible, as we will have to shut down ordering once we max out on the number of orders we can reasonably process. And please be patient as the farmers in our region begin to grow for the season.
We would all love some fresh produce at this time of year, and for those of you who aren’t growers, we wanted to remind you this is the time of year when local produce will be the very hardest to find. All of our overwintered crops are depleted and our new plantings need sun and warmth. It won’t be long before all of our local farmers have an abundance of fresh produce.
In the meantime, please partake of the wonderful products and produce that we do have. And get that order in right away on Sunday!
Delivery/Pickup Service Process
This is a reminder to remain in your vehicle if you are picking up your order and allow us to put your order on the back seat or in the trunk by opening those automatically for us so we can avoid touching your car handles, etc.
Deliveries will be left at your door, and you might expect things a bit later than normal as we have many more deliveries than normal.
We are asking for online credit card payment when you receive your invoice toward the end of the week. Though we are legally required to accept cash and checks, we’d much prefer not to handle paper. Thank you for your consideration.
Planting a Garden this year?
Hattie’s Garden is anticipating there will be many of you who will want to put in your own vegetable gardens or even grow a couple of things in pots. We are busily growing plants for you to purchase and have even ordered more potting soil from our favorite organic potting soil maker, Vermont Compost.
We should have something for everyone and you can check out our website to see the range of plants we grow for you. We are unsure yet how we will sell plants as we maintain social distancing, but we are resourceful and will devise an appropriate system.
The first of our plants will be ready toward the end of April and will be available throughout May.
Yours in the Garden,
