After the Storm
Winter Storm Grayson came. Winter Storm Grayson left. But unfortunately, Chesapeake Organic suffered nearly total loss of all their produce as a result of the explosive bomb cyclogenesis (aka bomb cyclone) that occurred during the storm. Good news is they will be up and running in the coming weeks when they harvest some new produce from their greenhouses.
As they recover, we are relieved meanwhile to be able to rely on Fresh Harvest for fresh leafy salad greens, and we are still pulling from our stock of sweet potatoes and garlic from Colchester Organic.
We also have plenty of meat from Bohemia Lea, flash-frozen fish from AlaskaWild, delicious mushrooms from Davidson’s, cheese from Chapel’s, a great assortment of jams ‘n jellies from Backyard, wonderful honey from Baues’ Busy Bees, and freshly made-to-order: delicious dessert and pot-pies from Jenn and gourmet food from Patty.
And don’t forget the herbal remedies from Plant Wisdom! The cough syrup came in very handy for us last week.
