Welcome to Hattie’s Garden
Hattie’s Garden is a small market-garden, growing vegetables, herbs and specialty cut flowers in Lewes, Delaware. We subscribe to sustainable farming practices and use organic gardening principles, but because of our small size, we are not certified organic. However, we do grow food in an ecologically and ethically responsible manner.
May through November, Hattie’s Garden can be found at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) selling vegetables and lovely flower arrangements. The market runs from 8 to 12 through Sep., 9 to 12 in Oct. & Nov.
We grow a variety of plants for your home garden in the spring, which include tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, herbs, flowers. We are open at the garden every Thursday & Friday from 3 – 6 during the farmers market season.
Be sure to read the latest news and announcements on our news “blog” to keep updated on what is available and any changes in scheduling. You can also subscribe to our e-mail list and receive the news automatically.
What a delightful combination: freshly harvested arugula and tomatoes (heirloom or cherry work well). Add some crumbled Bay Blue cheese from Chapel’s Country Creamery, and you have the fixings for a delightful summer salad. Stop by Hattie’s Garden this Thursday or Friday from 3 – 6, or at the HLFM on Saturday (location is Shields Elementary School this week) from 8 – 12.[Read More >>]
