Hattie’s Garden is a small market-garden, growing vegetables, herbs and specialty cut flowers in Lewes, Delaware. We subscribe to sustainable farming practices and use organic gardening principles, but because of our small size, we are not certified organic. However, we do grow food in an ecologically and ethically responsible manner.

We operate a delivery & pickup service on Saturday mornings during the “off-season” when the HLFM is not in session, selling produce we grow, as well as offering a variety of produce and other authentic food from local farmers & vendors.

We grow a variety of plants for the home gardener in the spring, which include tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, herbs, flowers. We are open at the garden every Thursday & Friday from 3 – 6 during the farmers market season.

From May through November, Hattie’s Garden can be found at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) selling vegetables and lovely flower arrangements. The market runs from 8 to 12 through Sep., & 9 to 12 in Oct. & Nov.

Thanksgiving Week


We are now approaching Thanksgiving. Hattie’s Garden would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to all of you. You can get last minute items from Hattie’s Garden Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m. We will have plenty of produce available, including plenty of fresh salad greens, as well as the debut of Jen’s pies for your Thanksgiving table.
