Welcome to Hattie’s Garden
Hattie’s Garden is a small market-garden, growing vegetables, herbs and specialty cut flowers on half an acre in Lewes, DE.
Although not certified organic, we subscribe to sustainable farming practices and use organic gardening principles. Sustainable agriculture can feed the world without damaging the environment or threatening human health. This means we grow food in an ecologically and ethically responsible manner.
We invite you to join our premier CSA program, or purchase freshly harvested produce at Hattie’s Garden from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday afternoons and/or at the Historic Lewes Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings.
Be sure to read the latest news and announcements on our news “blog” to keep updated on what is available and any changes in scheduling. You can also subscribe to our e-mail list and receive the posts automatically.
May through November, Hattie’s Garden can be found at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) in downtown Lewes, DE. Beginning the second weekend in May, the farmers market runs from 8 to Noon through September. Fall market runs October and November from 9 AM to noon.
For the first time this year, we will offer a Winter CSA with seasonal vegetables harvested directly from Hattie’s Garden. The CSA will run ten (10) weeks beginning December 6. A limited numbers of shares are available, so early registration is recommended.
We are open at the garden one or two days per week during the farmers market season and beyond; usually Wednesday and Thursday from 12 to 5. We offer our produce, herbs and flowers. In the spring, we have plants available for the home gardener, including heirloom tomatoes, tall cutting flowers and plenty of herbs.
